Before you search

Which area should you stay in?

At the resort (Pradollano)

A few minutes' walk from the lifts

The resort village, at 2,100 m. Boots on at home and a few minutes later you're on the gondola.

+
You ski from the first minute and après-ski is at the door.
−
The priciest, and the car stays parked (and you pay for it).

On the way up (A-395 road)

10–25 min by car

Hotels and apartments along the road up, between Pinos Genil and the resort.

+
Cheaper and quieter, with easy parking.
−
You drive every day and, after snowfall, chains.

Nearby villages

25–40 min by car

Monachil, Güéjar Sierra, Pinos Genil… rural houses and charming apartments.

+
Big houses for groups and families at good prices.
−
Far from the snow: early starts and driving.

Granada city

45–50 min to the resort

Sleep in the city and go up to ski: there's a direct bus every day.

+
The Alhambra, tapas and nightlife, at city prices.
−
The daily trip up; more in bad weather.

What you only learn up here

“Ski-in/ski-out” isn't always next to the gondola

Pradollano is steep and some listings stretch the idea. On each page we tell you how many minutes' walk the lift is and which run is next to it.

Car, parking and chains

Parking in Pradollano is limited and paid: an apartment with a garage is gold. After snowfall the A-395 may require chains: check the road before you set off.

Apartment keys and check-in

Many apartments hand over the keys at an agency with opening hours: if you'll arrive late, let them know. Our guide tells you everything.

Ski lockers and gear

A ski locker in the building saves you carrying everything every day. If there isn't one, the resort has lockers and left-luggage.
